While Heritage Income Properties was founded just five years ago, our story has been 50 years in the making. 

 

Over the past five decades, the families of our founding partners developed a collection of multi-family properties – each in an individual, single-purpose entity. In 2015, the decision was made to merge all of these entities into a single ownership structure – today is known as Heritage Income Properties. This permits centralized decision-making for the portfolio that facilitates greater efficiency of operations and a single entity with significant financial strength. 

 

As a result of this merger and the resulting portfolio of more than 3,100 units, in 2019 Heritage was able to engage Principal Real Estate Advisers to serve as the portfolio’s asset manager. This provides investors greater value afforded by Principal’s institutional approach.
